Here’s a delicious recipe for Oreo Cheesecake that’s sure to be a hit!
Oreo Cheesecake
Ingredients:
For the Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups Oreo cookie crumbs (about 20 Oreo cookies, crushed)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Cheesecake Filling:
- 24 oz (3 packages) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 10 Oreo cookies, chopped (for mixing into the filling)
For Topping:
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Additional Oreo cookies for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool.
- Make the Cheesecake Filling:
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the sugar, mixing until well combined.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated.
- Stir in the sour cream and heavy cream until smooth. Gently fold in the chopped Oreo cookies.
- Pour and Bake:
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 55-65 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center still has a slight jiggle.
- Cool:
- Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door ajar for about 1 hour to cool gradually. This helps prevent cracking.
- Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Serve:
- Once chilled, remove the cheesecake from the springform pan. Top with whipped cream and additional Oreo cookies if desired.
Tips:
- For a richer flavor, use double-stuffed Oreos for the crust.
- You can also drizzle chocolate sauce over the top before serving for an extra treat!
Enjoy your delicious Oreo cheesecake!
